How we test.

Every number carries a label

Nothing on this site is published bare. CONFIRMED means an official manufacturer source: a press release, spec sheet, or on-record statement. REPORTED means credible outlet coverage, and the outlet is linked on the value itself. EXPECTED means our informed estimate: dimmed, dash-underlined, and never dressed up as fact.

Machine-collected findings from our source watcher are never auto-published as confirmed. A human reads the source and promotes the data by hand. Being ten minutes late costs less than being wrong once.

When we get a vehicle

Reviews score seven pickup-native axes: payload & towing, bed usability, off-road, unladen ride, cabin & tech, running cost, value. Each is tested, not vibed. The headline score is their average, and it maps to one of four words: AVOID, CONSIDER, SHORTLIST, BUY. The same word appears in the written review and the video. One vocabulary, two platforms.

Bylines and corrections

Every article is signed by the person who wrote it. TorqueBed is written and edited by Dev Rana. When we get something wrong we correct it in place, mark the correction, and say what changed. No stealth edits.

Independence

No manufacturer pays for coverage, previews copy, or sees scores early. AI-generated imagery is always badged as such and never presented as official material or spy shots.
